Metal Mouth Message Board

I had my bottom braces and bite plate fitted almost four weeks ago. It's been quite an adjustment to eating but I'm managing to get by without too many complications, however, I find I have to adjust my bite plate about once a week to keep it from getting too loose. When I'm eating, it will sometimes pop out of its seating and I have to adjust it and re-seat it with a mouth full of food. Does anyone that had or has experience with a bite plate ever experience having to constantly adjust the bite plate to stay seated? It's a real pain to have to adjust because I really don't know what I'm doing and it takes a lot of trial and error to get it to fit correctly and/or comfortably. I'm probably going to call my Ortho but I was just wondering if this was common at all.
