Bracket glued to the wire

#1 Post by Jasmina »

Hi there,

I put my damon clear braces on 3 days ago. When I got home I have noticed that on my both top lateral incisors there is a glue on the side of the brackets. It looks like the bracket is glued to the wire. The glue is bright white so It is very visable. I don't really know why the orthodontist decided to glue the bracket to the wire, can't find any info anywhere. I was in too much shock when i looked in the mirrow for the first time so didnt ask her at the time. I will obviously ask her next time I see her by did anyone ever heard about it?

Thanks.

I haven't heard of that, and i think there are other ways to limit wire movements by clamping on "stoppers" to the wire. I suspect that what you are seeing is a bit of an optical illusion.
