Newbie - Braces were installed yesterday

Hey ya'll!

I am a 27 year old second timer on the whole braces thing. I could kick myself for continually losing my retainer after my first time (I had braces for 7 years along with plenty of oral surgery to keep things lively).
My orthodontist told me to come back when I was responsible enough to keep up with a retainer, so...here I am 13 years later with a beautiful metallic smile.

I have to say that I had forgotten about how strange it feels, but it is a good strange as I am thrilled at the prospect of getting my old straight -toothed smile back. WOOOHOOOOOO!

And the unforseen bonus is that my husband thinks my braces are cute...

I look forward to learning a lot and sharing some stories!

MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN IN BRACES FOR ABOUT 9 WEEKS. I THINK I GOT THE WORST OF IT, METAL BRACKETSN TOP AND BOTTOMS, 4 RUDDER BANDS - 2 ON EACH SIDE. AND A HEADGEAR THAT I WEAR 16HRS A DAY.
MY WIFE ONLY HAS METAL BRACKETS SO FAR. NOT FAIR?
