Ortho Positives from Covid-19

#1 Post by Smileop »

While I know this is a grim time for everyone I’m curious if anybody has had any or heard of some positive experiences regarding your treatment throughout all this. I thought of this when a friend of mine who was terrified of getting braces and extremely self-conscious of how they would look, went on to say that this is a great time for masks to be socially acceptable so nobody has to know that you’re even wearing braces! She had an adjustment right before things really started shutting down and ultimately when in for something they deemed an emergency and was able to get an adjustment so her treatment is still on track. I just thought it was funny that no matter what is going on there still seems to be a silver lining for some people!

Oh, I've never thought about it. Maybe it really is a great time for having braces :) I'm still thinking whether I should get it or not but now I'm working from home and I don't have anyone around me except my family. I'm in the real estate business and selling real estate in Berlin so a strong smile is the most important necessity of my work. Maybe during quarantine I can have the braces and get rid of them when it ends. Also, it may be a good time for hair transplantation as well :)

I'll admit, the mask hiding my braces is nice. On the other hand, though it may just be where I am in my treatment, I have more time on my hands & I am noticing the remaining imperfections in my teeth more.

I work in healthcare and as masks are mandatory now it'd be funny when my coworkers see me without a mask (braces are coming off in 2 months)
