I'm so happy! Now I finally have braces on my bottom teeth!
I've had braces on my top teeth for about 7 months. However I don't see how they'll work if my bottom front teeth are biting into a rick a nator (plastic molded to my bottom teeth so I bite forward into it) and a thick wire behind my bottom teeth.
Although I'm in pain right now, it's so worth it. I see it as progress, progress = me happy.
Congratulations! You will begin to see a lot of progress now. I hope I get mine on soon. I've had braces for almost a year and a half and still no talk of bottom braces but hopefully soon!
Good luck with the rest of your treatment!
Congrats! I hope things go well for you, I'll be getting bottom braces before I get top ones because that's where the most work needs to be done (come on October!)
Thanks for the replies!
My lowers ache a lot too. I've already got sores, but I'm thankful for the invention of wax. Makes it a whole lot easier. But I also find them harder to adjust to too.
I got clear uppers in January. It didn't seem to take long to adjust. Then I got 4 spacers 2 weeks ago, no problems. last Tues I got lower ceramics. Seemed fine for 3 days, then the pain kicked in. My tongue and cheeks are sore. I had a hard time deciding clear or metal, as I read that some people feel the metal are more comfy, others think the clear are better. I'm hoping this clears up soon!
