Went in for my latest adjustment on the 27th all excited. I was supposed to get new wires and some bracket repositioning (I had gotten nothing but new powerchains for about 5 months now). The ortho decided that my spaces aren't quite closed yet and we would put off the other stuff for another six weeks. Basically they slapped on a new powerchain (I got black again, like my soul) and ushered me out the door.

On top of that disappointment, my ortho mentioned when he started poking around that he was sick so he was going to leave on the surgical mask while he was talking to me. Sure enough here I am the next day and I'm sick too. On the whole, not exactly my best adjustment to date.

Oh! sounds bad...hope everything gets better...look on the bright side, the teeth will be perfect with the longer time in braces.

aw, sorry to hear that Tinman! I hate those adjustments where they really don't do anything-it feels like you're not getting anywhere I don't care how much it hurts, I want to see PROGRESS!

PS: look on the bright side, at least you've got powerchains, I'm still on regular wires. And so sick of them too

i just have to say...since the ortho was wearing a mask and gloves, it's not likely you picked up any viruses from him, but you could have got it from the door handle or something else like that, or from anywhere really.

and i understand the frustration of them not doing anything but changing ligs/powerchains. I was excited to get new wires and such because it just feels like something it going to change finally. Maybe next time you'll get something more "interesting"
