On my molar bands, as well as having hooks, there are these weird tube things, does anyone else have them? what are they for?

Yeah, they ARE headgear tubes, but you will most likely NEVER use them. They come pre-packaged together with the rear molar bands a lot, and docs dont have any of the ones without them, so they just put them on all their patients.

yeah i have that too...and i guess i talk to much because either the hook or the groves of the tube created really sore flaps of skin(yes,EW!) and i had to LOAD the wax on just so it wouldnt get caught and continue to pull on it...i really hated it so i rinse with salt water and they have healed sooo quick!...but im still afraid to talk without wax on them in fear that it will create them,if not worse, but again...so i really really hope that doesnt happen to you! just thought id share my story :P hahah thanks
