My fiance looks after me when I'm in pain after an adjustment, so I get to just lounge on the settee while he brings me cups of tea and other nice things :D

They make for a great conversation piece! :D

Quite a few people have come up to me and commented me on my braces, and many of them seemed to have gotten braces in their early/later 20's. Of few of them even had braces on at the time!

I guess braces get me out of school sometimes! I think what really keeps me going is that it motivates me to take care of my teeth better. I can't wait for a perfect smile after living with "yucky teeth" forever.

I finally have/can see cheek bones!

My face was always round and full. The braces have subtly changed the shape of my face, provided a slight hollowing of the cheeks. I love putting on blush now!

Put the smile back on my face, literally. Instead of a grimace or snear, like it used to be.

I have several...hope you don't mind:

1. I don't snack as much.
2. I'm proud of myself for going thru with it - and they're great for conversation.
3. They're a great excuse for going home if I'm not having fun on a date. (And they're a great excuse if I'm not into kissing a bad kisser! )
4. My teeth are gonna be straight any day now.
5. I brush more often and better than I had been. Ditto with the floss.

I have not one bad thing to say about my experience so far - except I'd love some faster progress. I'm so happy that I got braces!! :D

I guess you caught me on a **ShinyHappyBraceFaceDay!**

I smile more
I eat less (snacking is almost completely out)
I talk more (eventhough it hurts most days unless I'm waxed up)
People I don't even know compliment me on my braces or say I've lost weight
I've lost at least 15 pounds so far, but I've been mega-hungry the last few days so I doubt that number will stay that high.
