My braces are coming OFF!!!!!!!!

I'm so excitied.
I had an adjustment today and I asked my Ortho if I was close to being finished. And he told me I would get them off at my next appointment.
At first it was scheduled for 7 weeks from now (the place is really busy) and then I recieved a message a spot opened this Thursday.
I was asked if I wanted to switch dates and of course I said YES!
My memory is a bit fuzzy but IIRC my lower braces went on April 26th 2003 and my upper braces went on May 12th 2003.
So I've had my braces for almost 2 years 8 months. My initial estimated time was 24-30 months.
Because I've had my braces for almost 3 years I'm not one of those people that says I love my braces so much. I hated getting cankers sores, not being able to eat steak without my mouth being sore, and cleaning after everytime I eat (especially hate it when I'm out in public).
Needless to say I'm thrilled my braces journey is coming to an end and I can move on to the retainer phase.
Went I first started this whole journey I had horrible teeth. I wondered if braces would even be able to correct it. While my teeth aren't model straight they're a million times better than what I had before.
But I must say time does fly sometimes. I remember going to the old archwired board asking so many questions to the veteran brace faces.
I haven't had an apple in over 2 yr 8 months. So I'm looking foward to that.
What a Christmas gift. I'm on Cloud 9 right now knowing in 2 days the braces are finally coming off.
