Electrical toothbrush user come'on in

I've some qns to ask. I've just bought a Oral-B (braun) toothbrush and i've some qns at the back of my mind.

1. Do u just apply toothpaste on the head once then brush? I realised the toothpaste is like not evenly spread.

2. Do u leave some water in your mouth when the head with toothpaste is abt to clean your mouth?

I have a Sonicare and I don't put any water on my brush prior to brushing. I find that if I do, I end up with too much water in my mouth and have toothpaste dripping down my chin! :P

I've got the braun oral-b too. I do the same as Karen. Clean brush under warm tap water (softens the bristles up a bit), apply toothpaste, and then add just a touch of water on top of toothpaste covered brush-head.

I usually go over the 2 minute marker they have the brush set for.

Hiya guys...

Thanks for the positive inputs...
Man.. i've tried quite a few ways to try and evenly spread those paste. Finally after a few tries, i found a suitable and comfortable method.

What i did was to put toothpaste on the brush and brush without turning on the brush. After evenly spreading the paste, i would turn on the brush and start brush.

Now i have a big problem, my bottom right last teeth's gum is hurting a lot. The pain had been biting on me for the past 3 days. I've had my wisdom tooth removed 2 months back and i suspect that the brush had actually wounded/hurt the stitches joint.

 My sonicare elite is a challenge for me as well. Its been about a month since I bought it and I only used it like 3 times. The first time, it was just plain weird to manuever around my brackets-but I guess in time a pro can be born. I always end up using it again or just switching to the regular toothbrush. One problem that I have (in this case)is lifting up the toothbrush head to clean the opposite area of my teeth...lets say if I start cleaning the top right area--I have to somehow rotate it to go back and clean the left side..Yikes I hope this made sense :? At any rate, I love it regardless, I think I will adjust the smart timer feature for longer than 2 minutes though.
