i'm soo excited my teeth are getting sooooo straight but they say i still have 1 year 6 months left??? i dont get why i have that much longer!!!!

Your smile is looking so beautiful! :D One thing I did notice is that your midline seems to be off a bit, which can take awhile to move (well it did for me, anyway). After that, usually your ortho will keep your braces on for awhile to make sure the roots, that move after the teeth, are in place and secure. Good luck and have fun :D
Damon 2's top and bottom, BRACED 02/22/04 and REMOVED 08/29/05. Now in bonded retainers (top and bottom) :4 wisdom teeth surgically removed on 12/22/05:

I've heard orthodontics is like bodybuilding; it uses the law of diminishing returns. That means that at the beginning is when you'll see the biggest changes and then things start to taper off. That's why the latter 75% of your treatment may not be as exciting as the first 6 months.

Yeah my ortho told me that I will see the biggest changes within the first 6 months...after that he said that I will keep telling him to take them off because they look good...lol

I'm only starting to see some real progress after 22 months! :shock: Oh well.... better late than never right! :roll:

Top braces: 4/28/04
Bottom braces: 11/16/05
Last Adjustment was 2/1/06 where they bonded a bracket to my cuspid, which was impacted!!!! OUCH!

thanx soo much! well i had my dad call and my ortho said that within 3 months i will be doing the rubberbands, and then after those he said i will need to wear the braces for a few more months to make sure then i will get the braces off and a retainer!
