Hi all, I'm still in the consultation stage of getting braces, but since I don't have the insurance to cover it, everything is out of pocket.

So I'm wondering how much the cost range is to get the top bicuspids removed?

my extractions were $90/tooth I think, with local anasthetic. from what i've heard, that is pretty reasonable.

It depends on whether the extraction is a simple one or complicated one. Two of my extractions were simple and costed 96$, the other was complicated, required stitches and costed 160$ Canadian.

I was quoted 99 per teeth, but didn't need any extraction.

If memory serves me correctly, it was about $100-$125 per tooth.

BTW, check into your medical insurance. Sometimes medical insurance will cover extractions because they may be done by an MD (as opposed to a dentist).

$90 a tooth?!? I was ripped off, for my four wisdom tooth it came out to almost $1400 as I recall, with IV sedation though.

Oh I was referring to regular teeth...at my dental clinic, removing wisdom teeth start at 250$ and go up with complications

wisdom teeth are much more expensive. also, the sedation costs more than the extractions, i think. i paid $90/tooth for my bicuspids but only had local anesthetic (i cant spell that freaking word)

My insurance wouldn't cover it since they were ortho extractions. Mine cost $114 per tooth, so $228 total.

My bicuspids extractions cost $68 a tooth, or $272 for all 4.
