At your first adjustment, how much work was done? Did you get new wires, elastics, powerchains, etc.

For my first adjustment I was place with new wired and ligs. I was in for 15 minutes for the process then I was on my way with an appointment for a second adjustment. Six weeks later.

At my first adjustment which was 4 weeks after getting braced, I had my ligs changed and my canine that is in a crossbite position got a lig AND a tie wire...the ends of the wire were also cut.

I am having my 2nd adjustment tomorrow and I'm really hoping for something more than just a lig change...

Gosh you know what? I can't remember! I think they replaced one of my wires and adjusted my spring! Scary that I can't remember and good in a way. Hopefully soon all this will become a dim memory.

They haven't replace any wires in my mouth now for like 3 months. It will be 4 1/2 months with no wire replacement by the time I have my next adjustment in April. They did reposition brackets though.

Temporarily rebraced Nov. 21, 2006. ( I think I've moved past temporary. )

My first adjustment was 6 weeks after being braced.
They changed the ligs, and my wayward tooth was hooked with a lig on 3 sides of the bracket (instead of the 2 that was previously on)

Six weeks for me as well. Ligs were changed top and bottom and lower teeth had interproximal reduction (shaved) between certain contact points.

I'm hoping for something more radical at my second adjustment.

My first adjustment was six weeks after being braced. They changed my wire and put on new ligs. Also at this time they put the archwire through to all the molars.

They put back on the same springs that are over my two baby teeth making room for my impacted canines when they come down.

I just had my 1st adjustment last week. It was after 6 weeks. The ligs were changed. They took off ligs and put on wire ties on all the top front teeth. They added a spring on the top to push some teeth apart so they can straighten out. The wire was not changed.

It was a quick appointment and my teeth weren't too sore after.

I got new ligs (purple and orange, highly recommended btw a fabulous and fun color combination) and then I think a new wire, and then a criss-crossy very thin wire in figure 8's around my front four teeth, and it's been there ever since.

My first adjustment was 9 weeks after being braced. I got a new wire (thicker) some metal ties, new ligs and power chain over my front top four teeth and my palatal expander bent upward to fit better.
