Mine was so long ago that I can't remember! The main swelling goes down reasonably quickly, a matter of weeks but I found I still had some swelling months afterwards although I had a round face anyway so it wasn't that noticeable on me!! The sort of pouch of swelling under the chin can last longer, they offered me liposuction for that but I never took it, wish I had actually. Anyway, the really noticeable swelling and bruising goes down reasonably quickly from what I remember and if you think about it as changing the rest of your life, it is a short time to live with it. That is how I did it.

I agree that the first 3 weeks, the bulk of the swelling subsides. However, I'm six months and I was just looking in the mirror and I'm definitely still swollen- but literally to a point thats barely noticable to anyone but my nearest and dearest.

I was told 1 year if you've had upper and lower for it to all go.
