hey,

when i had my wisdom teeth removed i was under GA. and after i took vicodin for like 6 days, therefore wasnt able to drive. and you could prolly go on the trip if some drives or whatever but you might not feel up to it bc you'll be swallon and druged up, and you;ll prolly be tired. these were my symptoms, maybe ask your doctor what he thinks.good luck, you'll be fine, i had no pain, ( except for the time i forgot to take my pain meds, so remember to take those right when your due to )

:)

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out this Monday and when I asked how long it would take to recover, I was given this analogy/example:
Say you have your extractions Friday, you should be able to return to work on Monday.
So it sounds like recovery time shouldn't be *too* bad. As for a trip to the grand canyon the next day, maybe you should just play it by ear and see how you feel tht day?

i also had 7 teeth removed today. i only have 3 wisdom teeth. anyways, most people i know took it easy the first day. personally, i have very little pain, but swelling is horrible. it took them 50 minutes to do everything.

i would try to take it easy the first few days and minimal physical activity.
