I went to the 2nd orthodontist today

And what do you know, I dont need surgery. I dont even need braces. He said theres really nothing wrong with my teeth, he said he can't see any problems but if I really want I can have Invisalign Express, im not totally sure what that is though.

I didnt even mention first about the surgery, cuz I didnt want him to agree with just so id want his treatment. I mentioned it after he told me everything. He said he has no clue why anyone would say I had an underbite and he thought it was strange and couldn't believe it, I think he thought I was exxagerating what she said lol. He said my bite is great.

So that's good I can now relax 100%

But im sure someone here will try to see THIS orthodntise was wrong lol.

I dont know if im gonna do anything now though, he pretty much just said I could have invisalign exoress just to make me happy. So if I dont really need it id rather not go through the hassle of like stupid appintments and having to only eat and drink at certain times.

But im happy

It sounds like you did all this simply to get some sort of "validation" that you have a beautiful mouth.

Seriously, there are people in the world (myself included), who have serious jaw or mouth issues which is not only the cosmetic "poor me, I'm not perfect" but has caused functional problems as well. It is a long road and commitment for some of us to achieve something that people like yourself take for granted.

People come to this forum for support with what is perhaps the biggest challenge in their lives and you come in and insult and call us names. Maybe that's your way of feeling better about yourself. I'm sure if it isn't your mouth, it will be some other body part you'll obsess about next and hopefully you won't put down others who are less than perfect in that area as well.

If you truly want a beautiful mouth, learn to speak words of kindness.

Brittany, no one here gave a damn whether or not you were diagnosed as requiring surgery. We're not interested in talking people who don't need surgery into getting surgery, despite whatever you believe, but we are also not interested in hearing insults directed as us for going forward with surgery or believing it to be the necessary process.

This is gonna be my last post here...

I didnt say anything mean about people who have to get surgery in this post I just made. I figured people might wonder if I ended up being right or wrong since a lot of people were opinionated on it. The only thing I sid recently that could even be considered slightly rude was how someone would probably try to tell me this orthodontise was wrong now, but that was nothing about people who need jaw surgery, just certain attitudes.

And I wasnt mocking jaw surgery, I never even considered it, it never crossed my mind until like a week ago. Even then I didnt think I needed it but it still made me a little uneasy. So it's not like I was trying to be a drama queen by asking an orthdontist for jaw surgery knowing I didnt need it. I never said a thing about it.

But whatever, im just happy, I felt uneasy. Now I feel like a ton of weights have been lifted off my head. I never tried to offend anyone, so dont be offended by me cuz I never did it on purpose But yeah im not posting anymore theres just obviously no reason to, I cant really say this forum was super helpful for me though just a couple people who gave real answers. Good luck with whatever it is you guys are doing.

Naw. We're smart enough to know that when two orthodontists proffer radically different opinions on the same case, the only sensible thing to do is to seek the opinion of at least one more orthodontist to see if any sort of professional concensus will be reached.

i dont know. as airheaded as she seems i might have to agree that this second one was right judging from her pictures and her saying she had no type of symptoms non cosmetic that indicate a bite problem. the more i read of her i dont actually think shes a mean girl. i made a kind of rude post about her at first. i think shes not very bright and actually might not recognize that she's insulting anyone.

i dont know if youre gonna read anything more here. if you do just try to be more careful with what youre saying even if youre not trying to offend anyone maybe you dont notice youre saying something insulting. saying all people with underbites are ugly and all with overbites look like lizards just isnt nice. im not gonna lie to you a bite problem usually does make people look less attractive than they could. i have an underbite. but its still offensive especially coming from someone who doesnt share any of those same problems with us here. you could make someone feel very bad, people with these types of difficulties usually feel self conscious anyways. no need for you to make it worse

But the orthodontist finally came in and she was this horrible no nonsense manly woman, she wasnt nice or kind and warm, and i thought her face looked long and out of porportion like she had an underbite and i thought that was strange, like an orthodontist would have that fixed, but i was like okay whatever.
