Nora glad to hear you found this post!!!! June 3rd ah? Best of luck with your surgery as well!! yes I'm glad about my insurance as well! I was prepared to pay a bit but then we heard from the insurance that it will be covered 100% so ya!

Were less then 2 months away june crew!!!!

Woo, I finally set-up a date with my oral surgeon today!! I am scheduled for June 15 at 8am!! Hopefully that sticks. I go in May to get the surgical archwire in and take some final molds. Then go June 11th to get special bands/donuts for the surgery. I am praying this sticks and I am in surgery that Monday morning!

That awesome news Hokie tay!!!! glad you got a date and hopefully it will stick!!!
I go in May 7th to get some bracets rebonded (i think stronger bracets for surgery or something????) and different steel wires put on (stronger ones, for my surgery). I presently have a powerchain on my bottom teeth right now (not sure if the ortho doc is going to keep it on till after the surgery or not, but I guess I will find out come the 7th of may). I haven't got a pre admittance/pre op apt as of yet but the dental surgeon said they would call later on this month with that date, but it will be close to the end of may, so things are coming together.

I am thinking about ordering the zip and squeeze bags but forget if there is a specific order site for Canada, or if I should just order them off of the site that I found on here. anyone know i this matters or not?

I picked up a white board and a few dry erase markers just in case (not sure how talking will be right after surgery so I have it as a backup plan).

My ortho said I was ready last Nov - it's been a long, frustrating wait trying to schedule surgery (LeFort I, BSSO, genio). Can't wait to get this done with!

that awesome you got a date wildcat! Wecome to the June crew!! My surgery is June 2nd (Lefort 1 with mandable advancement). will you be wired shut or just banded wildcat??

Iborg, just wondering if you heard anything else in terms of getting a date or not? I forgot when you said you were getting the date, let us know how its going?

Any one know where I can order the zip and squeeze bags? I'm from Canada!!! Is the main site okay or is there another site that better????

I'll just be banded with a splint. My OS has only had to wire 1 person about 20 yrs ago. I have to ask how long I'll have the dreaded splint in at my next appt.

When's my date? I figure I'll find out in May. My ortho is off on maternity leave (here personal surprise) and her understudy won't push it forward. It has to be in June due to insurance coverage issues. Dr. P has said if need be it can be done before I'm totally ready but that will be in late June.

wild cat: you are lucky you are getting banded. I have to deal with being wired shut for 6 weeks but i guess this will just make sure everything is stable!

I have a date with the knife on the early morning of 1st May. Le Fort I advancement, probably multisegmental.

Hey im having lower jaw surgery 5th June so guess that makes me part of the june crew!

Im in the UK and its my first experience of surgery so really scared.

welcome aboard the june crew Kellywi! This will be my first actual surgery and a first for getting ga so i share your fear! we just gotta try to think positive and hope that everything turns out okay:)

I go in may 7th for my last ortho apt before surgery. getting the surgical wires on and and getting a different arch wire on for surgery and a few bracket rebonding to make sure everything is stable. I am thinking i will go in quickly again at the ver end of the month just so they can make sure things are all on there nice and tight so that way they don't fall off.

less then a month away! eick!!!!

i am in uk too ...... west midlands having bsso as well.

try not to worry too much about the surgery... most of them go well with no major problems.... and most problems have solutions

you would be a rarity indeed if you were not nervouse thoug, we all are to varying degrees ..... but at least here we can all hold each others virtual hands

Tomorrow morning I have my appointment with my ortho after her return from maternity leave. I'm expecting her to make the appointment with my surgeon for the pre-surgery conference. I'm sure she's going to want to close up the last bit of space before surgery but her junior partner told me two weeks ago that I was good to go. I'm hoping for the week of June 8.
