The OS said it would take around 5 hours. However, it took around 7.5 hours!! Nothing went wrong, but I guess he just wanted to make sure everything was perfect. My upper jaw was moved up and forward some, while my lower jaw was moved forward as well.

I also had double jaw. I believe it took 2-3 hours. Not sure how long I was in recovery, but I know they were waking me up because I slept too long--they kept telling me to take deep breaths. And as soon as I was coherent, I had to pee immediately! :-O The nurses were lightening quick with the bedpan, though. ;)

I was knocked out a little after 8:30AM and woke up in recovery at 11:25AM. I remember looking at the clock. My mom talked to the surgeon a little after 11:15 AM, telling her there were no complications. This was bsso only. My surgeon says it takes 5 hours to do BSSO + Lefort I.

Thank god I didn't have obama-care.

BSSO, my surgeon told me it will take around 3hours.

3hrs seems a bit long for just BSSO, right :D

My surgeon told me that for double jaw surgery it's around 5 hours, can be a bit longer depending on the case. He tol me for bottom jaw only it would be much quicker around 2 hours.

I was 8-hours for a double with a genio, but I bled a lot and it took me over an hour to completely pass out.
