6 week post op question

Hi there,

A question for fellow post op patients:

I had a Lefort 1 (upper jaw) surgery on July 1st. I am still having a lot of numbness on my right cheek. (not my lips or chin) It's a weird almost stiff feeling. My left cheek is not numb. When I try to smile my left side moves but my right side doesn't.

Does this sound familiar? I know 6 weeks is still early, but I was curious. I am not a spring chicken, so I wonder if it takes longer to heal when you're an "old" lady. LOL

If I remember correctly at 6 weeks I was still feeling numbness (more so on my left side). this will take quite some time to fully go away, I still get that feeling every once and a while still now and I'm over 2 months post op from lefort 1. again everyone heals at varying pases so it could be its just taking a bit longer to heal.
