Jaw Surgery in Costa Rica on January 6th, 2010

#1 Post by scguy85 »

I will be undergoing lower jaw, upper jaw, and a sliding genioplasty on January 6th in Costa Rica with Dr. Reiche. I currently do not have braces on as my teeth were said to be in the proper alignment already. Also, he sad that if alignment needs to be corrected then it can be done after the surgery.

I am nervous about all of this and I will be going under the knife in only a couple of days.

I will try to keep everyone posted with how everything moves along with the surgery.

Wishing you all the best!

I know it's easy for me to say now but don't worry. You will be in very good hands down there.

I believe there is another person from this site who is having their surgery next week w/Dr Reiche too. That will be cool to have a surgery buddy there with you!

Good luck and remember you will be fine!

Also, you may want to call the airline now to request a special soft/liquid meal for your trip home.
I had a very early flight home and got a smoothie right next to the gate but there was an additional security check at the gate and I was not allowed to bring the smoothie on the plane. I could not eat any of the food and I was starving. The flight attendants couldn't find anything that I could eat.

Congrats! That is soon, looking forward to hearing how it goes :D Good luck, not that you will need it. Sounds like Dr. Reiche is a good doctor from what others have said.
