5 days of recovering so far so good

I have been finally lurking around here long enough. My name is Alan and I am in the US ARMY. I stumbled on to this web site a few months ago when I found out I was going to be getting some work done.

Well 5 days ago I had upper jaw surgery or SARPI or some crap.... and 2 extractions.

Today I had my first visit since the surgery and we started turning the upper palate expander today.... FUN FUN FUN

All in all its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I am more hungry then in pain.

Looking forward to staying in touch with everyone around the boards.

You sound great! I just started my braces so I haven't had any surgery yet but wanted to welcome you!

Welcome.
I didn't have sarpe but it sounds awfully painful! I'm glad you're not in too much pain.
Are you on a liquid diet or mashed?
