Surgery (lower jaw) in 6 days!!!!

Hi Guys

My surgery is just around the corner and i'm worried that by a months time i might still be swollen and looking terrible. I"m going to a party on the 16th September. do you think i will be healed by then? with no lisps etc...

so scared but know its going to be worth it

Everyone is different, but I would say after a months time I was looking realtively normal again. Only a bit of puffiness. Only thing really was the bruise that hung around for a while. But hey, you can make up a cool story for it. Hehe.

If everything goes well you should be fine. I went to a Christmas party (on Christmas) 10 days after surgery. No one could tell--although I did wear a scarf to cover the bruises.

The only problem I encountered is that I was still on soft chew, and couldn't open my mouth very wide to eat for quite a few weeks after I was unwired.
