finished my genioplasty! - no more pointy chin!!!!!

#1 Post by dibunny »

Hey guys...well its all over at last! was very scary at the hospital but found out there really is nothing to be afraid of...no pain, except the sore throut from the anathestic and the drip but nothing major! instead of having a sliding genioplasty I just had the tip of my pointy chin sawed off/cut off whatever they do. looks great already and the swelling hasn't gone down completly yet, look like a gerbil at the moment, but has decreased alot since yesterday...., have to wear a dressing until another 2 days and then i will be able to see what it really looks like, so excited!!!! i did faint tho this morning still at the hospital while taking x rays but think that was the after effects from the anasthetic....also no numbness whatsoever!!! so pleased, can feel lips 100% and chin,so so so happy there is no damage!!! Taking a week off work so will be back next thursday so this week taking it easy, have all my soups made for me already, althou my teeth aren't reallly that sore and my doc says i can heat harder food if i want to! so anyone thinking about doing this op....do it is so worth it and gets rid of your pointy ugly witches chin for ever!!!!!

so is your chin no longer pointy? I had a bit of extra fleshy skin and tissue on my chin and they just tucked some of it into the incision, so mine was a bit more complicated then just the bone. I already had braces and my teeth are fine, as well :)
