Just thought it would be nice to know others who may have the same surgeon as you.

My surgeon is Dr Hitchc*ck and my surgery is at St. Joe's in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Stapleford in Windsor, Ontario.
He's amazing! He removed my wisdom teeth and the recovery was really not bad at all.

Mama - I've seen Dr. ocean and heard great things about him. I'm with UM and I love my surgeon - Sean Edwards and the fellows, but the post op care isn't the best (recovery room).

Jul 2010 - 4 mandibular implants. FAILED
Oct 2010 - re-placement of 3 implants, hardware removal
03/29/2011 - BSSO and 3 piece Lefort I
Sept 2012 - Upper jaw - 4 implants w/bone graft.

Glad to hear that you have heard good things about dr. hitchc*ck- he received rave reviews from my ortho who sends all of his jaw patients to him but is so good to hear good things about him!

Hmmmn...not sure how the post op will be at St. Joe's. I will hope for the best though!

I lived in Detroit for only a short time so I haven't really heard much else about any other surgeons but I am glad you like your surgeon!

Dr. Joseph Helman out of the University of Michigan is doing my Bi-Max w/genioplasty in November. However prior to making the decision to go with Dr. Helman I saw Dr. Hitchc*ck for a second opinion. I liked him, but his office mgr told me they were dropping my insurance in the next couple of months, which made using him out of the question due to cost.

I also heard good things about Hitchc*ck......Too bad his office is only going to be taking traditional BC/BS for insurance and nothing else.

Dr. Richard Balcerak - Hinsdale/Aurora, IL

If you're in the Chicagoland area, there is absolutely nobody better and I would highly recommend him. There is an old post on here of somebody that was upset by Dr. Balcerak, but there is more to that story. If anybody has any questions they can always private message me.
