Apparently (so says my surgeon) my orthodontist likes to keep his patients in braces for apx. 1 months before surgery. I understand this, but as my teeth were straight to begin with (thanks to my ortho's good work in my mouth as a teenager) and the braces are to help line things up just for the surgery, this seems like SUCH a long wait! Guess I better suck it up and get used to wearing wax on my molar bands
