Swelling up and down?

#1 Post by redfoxjo »

I've tried searching for similar posts but as the search function isn't working properly I thought I'd post this.

I'm four months post-op from upper and lower surgery and a month post lower right plate removal. The swelling went down really quickly after the plate was removed and also a bit of loose bone fragment causing my problems. But I've noticed it's been a bit up and down the past week or so and especially today because I've been in bed ill so am wondering if just by lying down all day as caused it to go up.

Has anyone found their swelling go up and down months afterward? I don't think I'm infected as the swelling isn't hard and my gums are healthy and pink.

Thanks all.

Lying down can cause some slight swelling. I've found I look a little puffy in the mornings, but usually after a couple of hours it goes back down.
