Izzy and VikingGirl--WOW! VG, you give me hope that I'll look even better when the swelling is further gone (I'm totally happy with my look, but I'm a bit block-head-y at the mo).
Colorado - great results too! You look so much younger too! Did both your jaws get moved forwards? If so, almost makes me regret not doing the upper as well, oh well, not going back now:)

I was shocked myself by the big difference! Though, I still accidently chew on my cheeks once in a while, so I think that there's more changes waiting for me.. I will take a picture again in a couple of months
All of you have such amazing results, and serve as a great inspiration to those of us awaiting surgery. If it weren't for those of you who share your stories and pictures, many of us wouldn't even consider such radical surgery.
It says a lot about this forum, that people who have been unhappy with their appearance for much of their lives can post before, during, and after pics, knowing that they will be supported and encouraged through the trials and tribulations of the entire process.
I'll just bump this. I'm sure there MUST be someone who'd like to share? In a few days it'll be six months for me.. So I'm just going to add a picture to my timeline. Still swollen and uneven.

Can't wait to see your 6 month photo, VikingGirl! How do I view your "timeline"?

I totally recommend having some other easily identifiable trait. My son (wisely, it appears) has a huge mass of long curly hair. He could stick an entirely different face under all that hair, and I don't think anyone would be any the wiser
The interesting thing I've noticed post-surgery is that I'm much more aware of his eyes. I realize that the old configuration of his jaw drew attention to itself and away from the rest of his face. Without that distraction, his best features seem to stand out more.

Awww, that is sweet the way you talk about your son! I bet he looks great! You are right about the easily indentifiable trait. I am really tall so that is usually what people remember about me!
