@kelhuntley: How long does it take to get an appointment with him and did you have to pay the surgery by yourself or is any insurance in NZ covering this?

severe class II impinging overbite
17 missing teeth (genetically)- AXIN 2 genetic mutation
Jan 2010 - genioplasty w/mandibular bone graft (from chin bone)
Jul 2010 - 4 mandibular implants. FAILED
Oct 2010 - re-placement of 3 implants, hardware removal
03/29/2011 - BSSO and 3 piece Lefort I
Sept 2012 - Upper jaw - 4 implants w/bone graft.
Jan 2016 - upper hardware removal, extensive upper bone graft

You look amazing, beautiful! I hope you are pleased, I know it's been a long road for you! But this beautiful sunny weather we are having should make you feel better for sure! We've been back for about 2 months, I changed orthos, and I really like the guy in Novi that I picked! Even took my kid for a consult there this week! Continue to heal and best of luck!

I need to write a post on my blog about this, but it's been four months now and I am having a lot of discomfort (burning painful lips) from the nerve that got cut during surgery. My OS wants me to start on Neurontin.

I wonder if any of my buddies are still around? Looking back now, jaw surgery was one of the easiest things I've ever done. Even at the time, the only bad thing was the nausea and that disappeared after a week. If anyone is reading this, get the surgery!! :thumbsup:
