Pre-existing condition?

#1 Post by RS732 »

Hi, like everyone else. I am a long time lurker of this forum. I am finally going to start the journey myself.

Step 1. I have read threads of members, shopping around for insurance to cover the surgery. I am in the same place at the moment and have found a provider, but how does your condition not follow in the "Pre-existing condition" ?

I am considering Kaiser as a provider.

I am just learning myself, but I remember reading that all insurers a period called "open enrollment period" one month, once a year during which they must accept all existing conditions. I hope that I am right !.. It's worth checking out.

I'm not quite sure how "pre-existing" condition exclusions are applied to defects in growth; it may vary by policy. These questions are best asked of your insurance agent.
