Passport and Surgery

#1 Post by Linnie »

Here is a good question for you all. I am supposed to have surgery (lower jaw advancement) on September 17. My passport is expiring the following month. Should I get my passport pictures taken before the surgery? If I don't then, how long will it take for my face to look normal again?

How long specifically after your surgery date does it expire? If it's at least 2-3 weeks I'd say most of the obvious swelling will be gone but it varies so much person to person. If it really worries you then definitely get it done before surgery.

My passport expires four weeks after the surgery. I guess that it can wait since I won't be planning any major trip right after.
