Can this type of face be fixed?

#1 Post by coolstuff »

My face is very similar to the boy in this picture. My jaw has basically grown too far backward and downward instead of forwards and outwards. I have shallow cheekbones and my lips drop down a lot at rest. However I do not have a gummy smile and I would say the excess maxilla growth is between my nasal bone and the bottom of my nose. Can this be addressed via jaw surgery?

Thank you

The profile can certainly be fixed with double jaw surgery and genioplasty. However the nasal/midface height can't be changed. If this area of your face is vertically long it is likely genetic.

cheek augmentations can improve facial balance.
