Hi everyone,
I had double jaw surgery on July 27, 2012. I had a Lefort I and BSSO, along with surgical palate expansion. So far, my recovery has gone beautifully with no complications (huzzah!). However, I did notice that last month and just a few day ago, a couple of bone shards came out of the left side of my mouth, where incisions were made in the lower jaw. These came out painlessly. I'm not particularly concerned, as I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary as a result, and I'm waiting for my surgeon to get back to me about this.
Anyone who's been through the procedure have this experience? It's freaky to pull a tiny piece of bone out of your mouth!
