Has anybody else found their friends not relating to this?

Long story short, I have got bimax and SARPE done to correct my bite spanning over 8 years.
The changes have been subtle, but it has definitely improved my appearance. Stronger jaw line, more symmetrical face.

However, many of my friends even after explaining to them that I have got it done. Complete with photos etc, aside from 2-3 (who can see the changes) I haven't got much feedback.
Literally, they just cannot seem to relate, or don't know what to look at.

Quite disappointing to be honest, given how hard the recovery was, despite myself being happy.

I was wondering if you people have had similar experiences.

Few weeks on. I am personally very happy with the results, that I don't care too much.

A few people are commenting on the changes now that the swelling has gone down.
