Sorry to bump this thread, but in case you considered it at all again...No, I definitely don't think you need surgery at all. I think you look awesome! I definitely had a mild version of the long face problem before my surgery, but it's almost all taken away now. but you definitely don't have a long face. actually i personally think fuller lips and an upper jaw that is more forward is very attractive. it's when your jaws are too far back that i think it hurts the aesthetics more, and you don't have that at all. looks perfect to me!

based upon the pics i don't think she needed surgery. hear bite was apparently good and an over jet of 3mm shouldn't have any consequences imo

I think you have a very attractive profile, go with your ortho's advice, they're the expert!
