Surgery and OSAS

#1 Post by 159061 »

Hi to everybody. In a few weeks i will have Bimaxillary surgery because of my Sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS).
Obviously i'm scared as hell, and i was wondering if anyone had surgery for OSAS and what was the outcome!

Anyhow, i would advise everybody to register at jawsurgeryforums.com (i'm a steady member there), it really helps getting info and support

I had bi-max surgery plus genioglossus advancement for sleep apnea almost 3 years ago. My follow up sleep study 6 months later showed no signs of sleep apnea. I was scared as well but my recovery went much better than I expected. Good luck with your surgery!
