Tongue Numbness How long?

I'm only 6 days post op, both jaws (BSSO and LeFort 1). I was mentally prepared forest of what I've experienced, except I guess the intensive care unit and couple units of RBCs.

I wasn't at all expecting the tongue involvement, not the cracked and bleeding lips. I can see that starting to heal. But how long was your tongue numb and did it come back faster than the lip and jaw.

I'm almost 3 months post-op. My tongue had a numbing sensation for about 2 months. Might be a shorter period for you. Mine lasted a bit longer, due to one of my brackets shifting and irritating my tongue.
