I am thinking about having SARPE surgery, I am 48 and I am scared I am too old for this much. Is there anyone my age who went though this have any words of encouragement or caution?

I was wondering if anyone out there has had the SARPE surgery and how long they had to wear the expander? I have had mine in for 4 months and I have to say, I hate it! Hopefully soon it will be coming out. If anyone already had there expander removed, how was that? Was it painful? I feel like mine is cemented in my mouth and will pull my teeth out with the expander.
