USAF Lefort and BSSO done!

Hey guys, just had my top and lower jaw done and also had tooth 15 removed, all through the Air Force, been spilling food and water all over myself any tips on how I should be sleeping? Like sitting up or not?

So today is post op day 5 and I noticed that the swelling behind my nose has gotten a lot larger in the last 2 days and I can feel my sinuses running down my throat but my doctor said not to blow my nose... Any of you guys experience this? Also I can't make it through a night without waking up from pain... Id feel a lot better knowing this was typical.

I haven't had it yet myself, but what you're going through seems normal for what others have posted. Most folks are told to sleep sitting up so the swelling doesn't flood to you facial area. I've read through a bunch of threads on here and have surgery tentatively scheduled for next year. Swelling should peak day 3 or 4. Make sure you're using ice packs to help reduce it.

Read through some of the surgery buddies threads in this part of the board if you need more info; there's a lot to learn..

Thanks for the reply, damn a year out plus? I found out I was going to Korea so they moved it and made it happen in 3 weeks lol def not mentally prepared and have been really demotivated by it, I am hoping it's all worth it down the road... When I was registering I saw that people use some photos as fetish, lol what's that all about?
