Post op swelling complication

#1 Post by Djakehill »

Hello all!

Two months post op from lefort and BSSO, done through the Air Force. After my fifth week
Of recovery the OS went back in and took out two screws and some
Bone because my face was still really swollen and not it's about 2 and a half weeks later and
It's still really swollen and I can feel a lump under my
Skin on the cheek... Any ideas or similar issues? It's really making this whole
Surgery ten times worse because I'm constantly being asked what's in my cheek. Besides the swelling on my right side lower cheek my
Surgery did a lot of good for me but this prolonged 2
Months of a swollen cheek sucks...
Could it be permanent?

Is the swelling visible on your gums? If so, a periodontist might be a good choice.

No it's not, everything inside my
Mouth looks normal just swelling along the jawline, saw my
OS today and his colleague and they said that after two surgery within two months it's gonna take time to go down, they think it just needs time to chill...
They both agreed it's soft tissue swelling and it'll heal overtime.... My OS said my
Right side is more prominent so that plus the swelling is making it look a lot worse then it is.... I just want that swelling gone. He said it's also not an
Abcess and unlikely to be infection since I'm
Not having any pain also
