Hi everyone!
I've had my RPE in place for over a month (I'm almost 4 weeks post-SARPE surgery), and I'm starting to notice brown-ish stains on my bottom teeth that are in contact with my RPE. Sometimes my tongue get's that dark yellow/brown coloration as well. Anyone else also had that problem?

That is odd, but it sounds like you have a different expander than what I had. Mine was a hyrax, a thick metal bar that my lower teeth could in no way make contact with.
Also, I'm wondering if the discolouration is actually from chlorhexadine mouthwash or Crest Pro-Health mouthwash? Both those things can cause stains, and the chlorhexadine is frequently prescribed after SARPE.

Turns out you were right Jaime! I saw my ortho this morning and the mouthwash they gave me at the hospital is known to stain teeth. They'll clean the stains at my next appointment in a month
