How much do look change after 1month

I had lower jaw surgery three weeks ago to correct my overbite. Most of my swelling has now gone down and my jaw is emerging, however my profile doesn't look much different. It's as if my bite moved but now my jaw, or am I hallucinating? My surgeon also told me the typical "ditch" between lower lip and chin that's common with overbite would be lessened, but this seems to be more. Can it be that I'm fooled by small but very look altering residual swelling in my law and especially lower lip? Has anyone had similar experiences ? Thank you

Your surgery was only 3 weeks ago. While the swelling has already gone down a lot, you probably still have a fair bit of residual swelling. I wouldn't worry about your results too much when you're only 3 weeks post-op.

My face didn't really settle for a few months, like you I was initially disappointed thinking did I go through all that for nothing but I'm well chuffed now.
