Swelling?

#1 Post by lemonweeps »

Hello, i am 3months post OP. Had a double jaw surgery, lower jaw was moved inwards, upper jaw was moved forward.
My face still feels really chubby even after 3months? When people take photos, it is very noticeable of my chubby face.
My body size is average. I don't really know if my face is fat or is there still swelling? Most people say that you are likely to see
the final results after 3months? While im really happy that my jaw is fixed, the chubbiness is getting to me?

If you could share your experience, please do! Much appreciated thanks!

For double jaw surgery especially, 3 months is definitely not close to final results. To be honest, a year would be much closer to final results and even then some bone remodeling can still take place. At 6 months even, you will be much much closer to final but probably still not there. So try not to worry too much about it! A surgery like this is huge and swelling sticks around for a while. If it helps you, know that no one will be able to tell your face is still swollen, you just notice it because it's your own face and you look at it each day.

If you want, try taking photos at 3 months, 4 months, a year, etc. to see how the swelling is still going down.
