braces appointment next week

Ok. I have an appointment next week to see an ortho. It's possible i might need surgery, but is it possible a persons teeth could be so bad that not even surgury would fix them?

"Bad" in what sense? Braces can straighten your teeth. Orthognathic surgery can bring your jaws forward or back, make them wider, or move them up or down. If you have issues with your teeth/jaws beyond that, like severe bone loss in your jaws or something, then maybe braces+surgery couldn't cut it. **I'm not a doctor**
