Unhappy with my sarpe results (and orthodontics)

#1 Post by Expandedmaxilla »

Hi, I live in Israel and had sarpe done more than a year ago, and my arch was expanded 7 m"m. I also have double jaw surgery planned in the future to fix my class III bite.

What makes me unhappy is that my upper palate is still crowded, the front of my palate didn't expand like the back of my palate, so and my upper incisors have proclination (leaning forwards).

I have damon self ligating insignia (custom made brackets). I was told by the orthodontist before we even decided to go for the sarpe that my arch will be broader thanks to the braces and the unique technology. And now, more than a year later after expansion surgery my upper palate is still crowded. The results are not horrible, but after investing so much money for surgery and paying the orthodontist more than double of the market price (7,288.94$) for the treatment I can't help but feeling dissatisfied with the mediocre results.
I feel if only I'd listened to my gut and expanded the palate 1 or 2 m"ms more I wouldn't have this crowding problem.

Here are photos of my palate, I would be happy to hear your advice.

btw:
I haven't expressed my discontent with the treatment with my orthodontist because I've expected that problem to be solved anytime, I (had space opened so I thought that will solve it), but he closed the space and there was still crowding. Now, the more time passes by the more I feel anxious and unhappy for choosing him and paying him that ridiculous amount. I will tell him I'm unhappy with my results in my next appointment on Friday.

It will be fixed when you get your double jaw surgery. I had single and the teeth were so far forward, but fine after surgery.

The gaps can be easily rectified.

Tell your ortho the issue, he's the one doing the work and can rectify/calm your fears.
