I'm 3 weeks postop, and had lefort 1 (upper jaw moved up 5mm and back 1mm) and BSSO (lower jaw moved forward 5mm).
The first 5 days were hell, but after that it started getting better. I'll be off work for another week (1 month off work). I still don't feel my lower lip and chin (numb and tingly), plus the area around the nose is still a bit numb.

Wow, very impressive results!! I assure you that all of the numbness is perfectly normal. It may appear that you have an overbite due to upper lip swelling. Do you have a before and after pic of your profile and pics of how your teeth meet up post-op? I think your final results are going to be very good. A slightly gummy smile just makes you look younger and your lip mobility should improve over time. It’s still very early in your recovery.

I agree, your results are superb!
You were already incredibly symmetric and now everything is even more balanced, especially vertically. It would nice to be able to see some before/after profile photos in the coming weeks as welling reduces and your braces come off.
Sensation may take months or even a year to regain, and tingling is a good sign.
You should be very happy, congratulations!

Yeah, you're definitely still puffy in the upper lip, cheek, and lower chin area, but don't worry about that, it'll all go down over the next several months. How's your bite? You said you have an overbite now. Are your back teeth matching up?
So what do you think? Are you happy with your results?

My bite is not good right now, only one molar touches, all the other teerh are just abou 1mm away from.touching though. Next week I have an apointment at my orthodontist and I hope this is a quich fix I can start biting at 7-8weeks mark.
I have a 2mm overbite still, not a big deal I think...
I love my results and I can't wait until the swelling is all gone.

That’s good that you love your results. That will make the whole process MUCH easier
Getting those teeth to come together can be a long process. I hope not too long! Good luck!
