Hello I am a new member on here. I have a receded lower jaw and TMJ disorder which I have recently discovered is due to mouth breathing, swallowing incorrectly and having incorrect tongue posture for probably most of my life. This has also caused a narrow airway and breathing issues. I also have the classic head forward, rounded shoulders posture. I have recently been told that the only permanent solution for my problems will be double jaw surgery to bring both maxilla and mandible forward to open my airway. My question is for anyone who has had this surgery and has this type of posture. Does the posture begin to correct once the surgery has been performed to enable one to breath easier?
