How long do you have to wear braces before and after surgery

I had braces for 15 months prior to surgery. It's been 9 months since my surgery and I still have another year to go.

When my muscles finally stopped spasming months after surgery, everything settled in an unfavorable position, causing problems my ortho now has to attempt to correct with braces alone. Another surgery is a no-go with me!

It's not so bad really. Just remember, the sooner you start, the sooner you finish. I wish I had started this years ago, because I'd already be done now!

Exactly what my orthodontist said. I just had SARPE. No braces before. I dont even know when i will get brace mostlikely in a month or 2. Then I will need another surgery to properly align my jaws. But the whole treatment is 3 years.
