ah how i wish i could talk... :x
I am tightly banded and was from the morning after surgery-i also have a splint attached to the teeth. So i can talk through clenced teeth only.It must be because of the swelling too -as my other half informatively told me if he clenches his teeth together he can be clearly understood... so why cant i...
Go to see the surgeon again tommorrow for my first proper visit after the op so hoping he loosens the bands just a little bit....
My kids havent spoke to me properly since thursday-its funny because i write things down they do too-i keep writing i am not deaf and i hear you !!!its like they think as i write things down they must do too...

Its been 13 days now so i thought i would up date how things are.Things are going well -i have had 2 more appointments with the surgeon and all is all.Bruising is going down slowly (i still look like desperate dan!)I was hoping he was going to take the splint out so communication /and eating is alittle better but he says the ortho will do on my first adjustment since the surgery-thats on the 26th-i will still have the bands on for a couple of weeks after that but i can take them out to eat so i will survive!
In think the first week is horrible as you adjust to your new diet after that its plain sailing.. I am now sleeping on my side which is fab as i have always been a side sleeper,Smiling is impossible...i can grimace but not smile!! :D
Oh and for those of you who remember i was taking driving leesons i have another lesson booked and remember about the job...i was due to start on monday but they have changed my starting date to october instead-by then everythiing will be off(not braces but im hoping they arent that far behind..
I will post pics up later today as my batteries on the camera are charging..
So glad the worse is over-so glad i did this ...
