Well i saw the surgeon today who removed my wafer (yipee!) but gave it me back and said that the orthodontist may wish to put it back in when I see them next week!! I will scream, shout and cry if they make me put that back in! Well maybe not but they'd have to have a very good reason as I couldn't eat anything with it in my mouth.

They've put more elastics in so my jaw is banded shut as much as before but it's easier to breath and drink through a straw at least. When they made me move my jaw up and down a bit it was the strangest feeling ever. I just about managed to brush my teeth although I can't actually open my jaw wide enough to get a baby tooth brush in properly. I'm hoping that it will get a bit easier each time I try but considering I'm still not moving my jaw other than when I take the elastics off to brush I'm not sure it will... My teeth still feel disgusting.

Got the orthodontist next Monday and then another appointment with the surgeon the following Monday. He said he may remove the stitches before they fully dissolve too. Still have to carry on with the liquid diet until it's been a least a month though :(

Apparently the hospital does actually have a couple of those water mask things but they can't afford to buy any more so if you get lucky you get one, if not then tough luck. He's getting people who have used it to write it to explain how good it was so think i'm going to write about how bad it was without it. Lack of money was always going to be the bad thing about having this done on the NHS i guess...
