Hi,
I'm 21 years old and I got my lower teeth braced today, I've been dignosted with Underbite(III). I'm taking the first step towards correcting my underbite.
I really didnt complete my first 24hr but I really didnt feel any pain when my orthodontist placed it. but yet if I talked a lot my upper teeth will clash with lower and the cause nerve pain. Other than that.. I'm so happy

hello muna, from another underbiter.
Good luck as your underbite disappears.

Been there mate, it's not so bad.
There is practically no pain at all going through the braces stage, not for me anyway.
Worst thing about it, is wearing these ugly braces.

If so, it might be worth giving your ortho a call to see if there is anything he can do.
Good luck with that.
I got an underbite, so it' never actually happened before I got braced were my lower front teeth get bumped with top front teeth. But now with braces on it happens when I keep talking to explain things at work. Also I can’t fully close my mouth since metal hanger clash into each other.
I think I'm going to call him and see if this is normal

Meryaten.. Thanks
I'm going to see him on Monday.. I will see what he would say about it. it's annoying to have underbite and braces since my teeth arent orginal touching each other perfectly.

Hey, Muna! Welcome!
Class III here as well. In July I had my first surgery, and a palatal expander. I will be fully banded and bracketed at the beginning of November. Hopefully, next summer I will have my "big" surgery.
Welcome aboard. I hope that you will find the board to be helpful for you. So many people have given me encouragement and advice thus far.
Best wishes to you as you progress to a healthy occlusion!
